How a gift works

- We email a gift code that starts with GIFT-. Share it however you like.
- They redeem the code at collectivevinylrecords.com/redeem and tell us what they love.
- Records ship after they redeem. US addresses only.

Questions
How does a gift work?
Pick a tier and 1, 3, 6, or 12 months at /gift and pay once. We'll email you a gift code, and we'll send it to your person too if you add their email. They redeem it at /redeem, tell us what they love, and we hand-pick their records.
Does the person I'm gifting need to enter a card?
Yes. When they redeem, they add a card and a US shipping address, but nothing is charged during the gift. They also choose whether to keep their records coming after the gift. If they do, it continues as a regular monthly subscription and we email them before the first charge. If not, the gift simply ends.
When will it arrive?
Nothing ships until the code is redeemed. After that, we pack the box within 3-4 business days, and USPS Media Mail usually takes 7-14 business days. We can't promise a specific arrival date, so if it's for a holiday, send the code early.
Can I choose the records?
We hand-pick every record for their taste. If they connect a public Discogs wantlist, wantlist records get first priority when we have them in stock.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. We only ship to US addresses for now.
Is shipping included?
Shipping for every gift month is added at checkout, so you pay it once, up front, along with the gift. Your person never pays shipping during the gift.
What if they want to cancel?
They can cancel anytime from their account page. If they cancel during the gift, they keep every month that was gifted to them, and nothing is charged. Their subscription simply ends when the gift does. (Deleting the account is different: it ends the subscription right away, including any gift months left.)
Can they switch tiers during the gift?
Not during the gift itself. If they'd like a different tier, they can reach out and we'll sort it out with them.
What if they already subscribe?
Their code won't redeem on its own. They can contact us and we'll add it to their account.
